One Eighty Event
On Saturday 21st June One Eighty ran an event at King Edwards School in Bath. The damp weather could not dampen the enthusiasm of skaters from the school and others who had just come along for the day. The hall was a brilliant space for One Eighty and a good time was had by all.
Bath YFC Five-a-Side Tournament
Saturday 21st June saw the inaugural Bath YFC five a side football tournament take place. The ten teams were split into two groups of five. In each group the different teams all played each other, with the top two going through to the semi-finals. On a wet and very un-June-like day the teams all did brilliantly as mixed ages and abilities battled it out. Most matches were very close affairs, the young people playing really rose to the occasion and not only played well but also played fair. Both Team ASK teams made it to the semi-finals, with the year 9 team progressing to the final, where they met a Larkhall team. With drizzle filling the air, the two teams were part of a tight contest. Team ASK 9 played the better football in the first half but could not convert their chances. In the second half, motivated by Ron, his team upped the ante and came close themselves. In the end the Team ASK 9 pressure paid off and Nathan got the winning goal. They held onto the slender lead and were crowned tournament champions. Well done Team ASK! A huge thank you to Jeremy from Sladerbook Evangelical Church, Ron Hill from Bath Boxing Club, World Sports Ministries, Andy Hood and everyone else who made it such a great day.
