Taking good news to every young person in Bath

Motus Dance Academy

Motus Dance Academy is run by Sam Ludwell, our experienced dance teacher, who has taught dance with Bath YFC for over six years. The Academy runs on a Thursday between 4.30-6.30pm and Friday 5-7pm providing after schools sessions for young people to learn street and hip-top dance. Sessions cost £3.

Time is also made for the group to spend social time together most weeks and during the holidays. The Dance Academy also has a Junior Leadership Scheme allowing the more experienced dancers to take greater responsibility in teaching one another.

Every year the Academy plan, choreograph and perform for the Motus Dance Show, which raises funds to help keep the Academy going. Furthermore, during the year the group perform at events in the area and recently won an award for their performances!

Here is what some of the young peopel thought about this year's show.

When asked what she thought about the whole day, one young person said, “Can we do more than one dance show a year?”  Another one, “I thought the dance show was amazing.  The actual night was one of the most exhilarating nights I have experienced. It was so great to see so many people there supporting us and I would definitely do it again.”
