Taking good news to every young person in Bath
Partnerships
Bath YFC brings seeks to serve and resource local youth workers. As well as meeting every other month we produce a monthly YoB (Youth workers of Bath) update that can be downloaded by clicking here.
We believe in building relationships with people. As such we work with lots of different organisations. These include local churches, schools, Bath and North East Somerset Local Authority, the local police and other voluntary sector organisations.
In the last few years Bath YFC has worked in most of the secondary schools in the city. These include:
- Beechen Cliff School
- Culverhay School
- Hayesfield Girls School
- St. Mark's CoE School
- Ralph Allen School
- King Edward's School
- Kingswood School
- Writhlington School
- St. Gregory's Catholic College
- The Link Pupil Referral Unit
"To have built such a positive relationship with Bath YFC, is hugely important to us. It has added another aspect to the opportunities provided to the pupils. There are regular attendees that may not have engaged in any from of structured physical activity without this opportunity. In addition, the added dimension of the club, provides the pupils with an invaluable opportunity to talk openly in a supportive environment about a range of issues. The success of the club is reflected in the consistently high numbers that attend on a weekly basis." (Head of PE at Culverhay School)
"I have worked with Bath YFC in partnership for a number of years in the Bath area. Bath YFC have proven to me that they are here working with young people for the long term, developing new and exciting projects such as the Youth cafe and the Skate projects which benefit a wide range of young people. They are a forward thinking youth organisation who are open to new ways of working and supporting young people in the Bath area." (Youth Officer Bath)
