Thrive
Thrive is a skate enrichment course aimed at young people aged 11 - 16. It seeks to encourage informal learning through skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX biking. The course lasts for 6 weeks, covering themes such as perseverance, others, accepting help, making choices, health and dreaming big. Two full courses have been run in Fosseway and Somervale, with test events held in Beechen Cliff for a full course launch in the spring of 2008. Thrive continues to be a great way to reach young people who don't excel in the classroom, giving them a way to learn practically and to apply biblical values to their lives.

The Culverhay School Lunchclub
The lunchclub is an enthusiastic group of lads who enjoy various activities from cooking to radio control car racing and meet every Wednesday. The new group has been a lot more transient in nature and with the teachers involved we are currently looking at how we go forward from here. One option we are looking at is re-launching the club as a Rock Solid group.

St. Marks School
We currently work in St. Marks school on a Monday of every week. The staff involved run a lunchtime drop in, where young people can play games, eat lunch or just hang out. We also run a Rock Solid after school club and are involved in lessons, assemblies and mentoring at the school

Assemblies and Lessons
Historically we have taken school assemblies as and when we were asked, however since last Christmas we have sought to focus on the two major Christian festivals of Easter and Christmas. This has been good as it has meant we have been able to invest more time into individual assemblies. Clearly it is a process as we seek to inform the schools that this will be our approach from now on. The dream, with Hope 08 in view, is, working with the youth workers around the city, to deliver an assembly to every secondary school pupil in the city. During the last year we have written and taught a PSHE/Citizenship course to pupils at Beechen Cliff.

Christian Unions
We continue to maintain our approach of supporting rather than running school CUs. We have visited different CUs during the year and we hope to continue this. In February 2006 we launched 'Revolution'. This was a one day mini-conference for the CU leaders in Bath schools. We had about ten come to the day from three different schools. It was a good time and included times of devotion and discussion. The aim of the day was to encourage groups to be outward looking and mission focused within their schools. We hope to run the day again in 2008.
