After over nine years at Bath Youth for Christ, Kat Lazenby will be moving on to Bath YMCA. Kat has been dividing her time between both organisations for a while now and having handed over the developing mentoring with young people at risk of homelessness to Dave Joyce, this September will stop working with Youth for Christ. You will be able to read more when our Partners newsletter comes out in September.

We are really pleased to be welcoming Esther Egan to the team. Esther is joining as a part-time social media intern. We at Bath Youth for Christ are excited by what Esther will bring to the team as she helps us communicate well with you and those we are not yet sharing the great news of our work with.

Simeon Wakely has recently started mentoring for Bath Youth for Christ. Simeon is a young man Dave Joyce mentored and since then we have remained in touch. Simeon is passionate about campaigning on behalf of those with disabilities. He is particularly keen to support disabled young people in a school setting and raise awareness of the challenges for disabled young people. There will be more on Simeon’s work in our next issue of Partners.

Finally, we have just appointed a new part-time youth and schools work post to be working in Timsbury from early October. We are really excited about working in partnership with the local church, school and community with this new role. More information to follow.
