Taking good news to every young person in Bath
School Christian Unions
Bath YFC understands that being a Christian in schools is not always easy. We therefore offer to support young people who are running or looking to set up a school Christian Union. We are happy to simply come alongside and work with an established group or get involved in set up, planning, organising and delivery of the Christian Union. In one Bath secondary school, Hayesfield Girl's Lower School, Sarah one of the Bath YFC staff team worked with Emily a young Christian to set up a CU in her school. Emily was the driving force, with Sarah providing support as required. The result is an established group for those who are Christians and those who are just interested, to gather together and explore the Christian faith as a group. One of the girls who is a Christian said about the CU, "It's given me more to think about and how I want to share my faith more."

Stories about CUs in Bath schools
Here are some stories from young people at Hayesfield School:
'CU at Hayesfield has been something I came along to with all my friends for some lunch and some nice long juicy philosophical conversations! I started to love coming not just to eat and chat, but to think about Jesus in a place I associate with stress so much, I love CU so much, and I've made so many new friends from different years I wouldn't have made where else! This is a perfect example of Jesus giving us friendships!!'
‘CU at Hayesfield has helped me so much throughout the last 2 years. I love knowing that there a whole group of other teenagers who believe in the same things as me and can understand me really well! I have made lots of new friends in all the different years, which i love From going to Cu, I started going to Hayhill Church every Sunday and in the last year I have become a Christian. I love my life with Jesus in it!’
